SEA TRANSPORTATION OF NON-STANDARD CARGOES
Non-standard (oversized) cargo is a bulky or heavy item that, due to its technical parameters or specific features, cannot be transported in a closed road vehicle or closed container, that is, by standard means of transport.
Transportation of oversized cargo – a type of transportation of goods that exceed the standard dimensions and permissible weight for containers of 20 and 40 feet. If you need to import construction, agricultural machinery or a technological line from the manufacturer’s country, as well as if you are a manufacturer of construction materials, special equipment and import products abroad, then you need to order this particular service.
Transportation of oversized cargo by sea.
When transporting oversized cargo by sea, instead of standard containers, High Cube, Flat Rack and Open Top are used. Delivery condition – redemption of all places for the container, which are occupied by protruding parts of the cargo.
TYPES OF OVERSIZED CARGO
- Oversized in height - the height of the goods with transport exceeds 4 m from the road surface, for container ships on the routes established by the inspection - 4.35 m.
- Oversized in width - the width exceeds 2.6 m.
- Oversized in length (long) - the length exceeds 22 m (for route vehicles - 25 m): construction beams, cranes, pipes, supports, poles, piles, reinforced concrete structures, technical parts.
- Oversized - dimensions exceed the permissible standards on two or three sides: agricultural machinery, harrows, seeders, construction machinery, industrial lines, cranes, cars, yachts, etc.
HEAVY CARGO
Heavy cargo – is a cargo that, when loaded into a vehicle, causes an excess of at least one of the parameters in terms of the permitted maximum mass of the rolling stock or axle loads defined in the regulatory documents.
Delivery of heavy cargo is one of the most difficult international transportations. These include such goods, the weight of which, together with the transport, exceeds certain standards, while the delivered products can be very large in size.
